This fine, old, listed house is surrounded by rolling countryside and is situated on the very outskirts of the market town of Duns, 15 miles east of Kelso and 14 miles west of the walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Less than 5 minutes drive North will take you to the Heather moorlands, Manderston House renowned for its silver staircase is situated 2 miles east, and just over 15 minutes later you could be strolling along the golden sands of Coldingham Bay.
On our very own doorstep you can enjoy 18 holes of golf at Duns Golf course, you can have fun at Putton Mill Driving Range and why not take a stroll around the grounds of Duns Castle Nature Reserve, the castle itself is breathtaking and has been used for a number of film productions.
If you plan to visit in early July you may be lucky enough to sample the Reivers Week festivities celebrating the tradition of riding the town boundaries. Along with traditional ceremonies and celebrations the people of Duns partake in a variety of communal activities and a wee dram!
Duns also celebrates the racing driver legend Jim Clark by hosting the only tarmac rally on public highways in Great Britain. If you are not lucky enough to experience the rally first hand why not visit the memorial rooms on Newtown Street, Duns?
Tickle your taste buds at The Wheatsheaf Hotel in Swinton renowned for its fine wine and great food made with local produce or enjoy excellent pub grub and a selection of real ales at The Craw Inn in Auchencrow.
Kelso and its traditional cobbled streets is excellent for shopping and whilst there you must not miss the opportunity to visit Floors Castle, home to the Duke of Roxburgh and nestled on the banks of the River Tweed, an infamous grade 1 salmon river.
